Vivant Wine has an interesting backstory — turns out, the founder of a Taiwanese semiconductor company, Daniel Fu, is a wine lover and was adamant about finding a functional yet sleek wine chiller for his personal use. It was during the pandemic that he set out his idea and incorporating certain technologies from his company to the prototypes.
Today at Maison Boulud (29 May) at a media launch, over an educational wine pairing lunch session by Reeze Choi, Vivant’s official brand ambassador and the third-place winner of the 2023 Best Sommelier of the World Competition, we got to hear all about Vivant’s flagship products. The introduction couldn’t come at a better time; Singapore, is one of Asia’s fastest-growing premium wine markets, and it presents a strategic entry point for Vivant’s global expansion. The local wine market is projected to grow from USD 696.3m in 2024 to USD 960.1m by 2030, with strong momentum in both still and sparkling wine categories.
